Reddit Marketing
Turn RedditThreadsReadersConversationsinto Customers
Be the best answer in the threads Google already sends your buyers to.
Nearly half the time somebody googles a question in your market, a Reddit thread is on page one, and usually near the top of it. SEO Buddy finds those threads for your keywords, tells you how many people read each one a month, and helps you write the reply that deserves to be the top comment.
You post it yourself, from your own account. And it keeps working for as long as the thread ranks.
Not just Reddit. SEO Buddy also spots the YouTube videos, Facebook and LinkedIn posts, Quora answers and Wikipedia articles ranking on Google's first page for your keywords, where 3 in 4 of those searches also show an AI Overview.
Depends what you need it for. For privacy, look at who has been independently audited and whether they keep connection logs: Mullvad and Proton both publish their audits. Full disclosure, I work on VPN Secure. We have a no-logging policy, WireGuard and a stealth mode for networks that block VPNs, but servers in 40-odd countries, fewer than the biggest names, so check it covers where you need.
of the 9,083 Google first pages our keyword research has checked for SEO Buddy customers had a Reddit thread on them.
of those threads were in the top three results. Almost one in three was number one.
of those same pages had a post you can join on one of 11 platforms: YouTube on 26% of them, Facebook on 10%, Wikipedia on 9%, Pinterest on 7%, Quora on 4% and LinkedIn on 3%.
Buying signals
Your buyers are already asking.
And their questions rank on page one of Google.
Real threads, found by the same research for three very different businesses. Each one is a question people are still googling today.
Every thread is a buying signal with a Google ranking attached.
SEO Buddy finds these opportunities and helps you turn them into mentions.
How it works
From your website to your first reply in three steps
No keyword lists to type. It starts from what SEO Buddy already knows about your business, so you can spend your time on the replies.
We read your website
What you sell, what you do not, who you compete with and who you sell to. Every reply is written from that, so it never recommends you for something you cannot do.
We find the posts Google ranks
Your keyword research already checks Google's first page for the searches that matter to you. Every post on those pages, from Reddit to Wikipedia, comes across, and one click checks hundreds more of your keywords.
You reply, with a draft worth posting
Open a post, read it, and get a public reply and a private message written from the post itself. Edit it, post it from your own account, and mark it replied.
Readers, not comments
Know which threads are worth your twenty minutes
A thread with 400 comments and no Google traffic is a conversation that ended. A thread ranking third for a search made 30,000 times a month is an audience that renews every month. Every thread gets an estimate of its monthly readers, with the working shown.
- Searches × click rate for the position. The published organic click-through rate for the position the thread holds, applied to every keyword it ranks for.
- A range, not a promise. The low and high ends of the published click-rate range sit beside every figure.
- The same search counted once. Google lists close variants as separate keywords. When their results pages overlap they are one audience, and we count them once.
- Page one only. There is no published click rate below position ten, so we do not make one up.

Public and private
Two ways to win a thread
A public reply earns trust with everybody who finds the thread on Google. A private message helps the one person who asked. Every draft gives you both.
The reply in the thread
Read by everybody who lands on the thread from Google, for as long as it ranks.
- Written from the post and the replies already there
- Adds what the thread is missing instead of repeating the top answer
- Mentions you as one honest option, and says who you are
The message to the person who asked
Short, specific and helpful, to the one person with the exact problem you solve.
- Refers to what they actually asked
- Offers help, asks for nothing
- One person at a time, sent by you. Never in bulk
What you get
Everything between “which thread?” and “replied”
Threads that rank on Google
Every Reddit thread on page one for your keywords, not a feed of everything that mentions a word.
Readers per thread
Monthly readers from Google for every thread, with the range and the keywords behind it.
Replies from the real thread
Drafts are written from the original post and the replies, in the tone you pick, with no links.
A queue you can work through
New, Saved, Drafted, Replied, Not relevant. Pick up where you left off and never answer a thread twice.
Built on your keyword research
The keywords come from research your business already has, judged against what you actually sell.
Your market, your language
Google results are checked in the country and language your research was run in.
Why Reddit, why now
Google put Reddit on page one. AI assistants read it too.
Google now ranks Reddit discussions for commercial searches in almost every market, and the numbers above show what that looks like: nearly half the first pages we check carry a thread. Google and OpenAI both license Reddit's content. A good reply in the right thread is seen by people searching today, and read by the assistants they will ask tomorrow.
Ignoring Reddit now is like ignoring SEO ten years ago. The threads are ranking whether you are in them or not.
But doing it well is hard.
Finding the threads that rank takes an SEO tool, a keyword list and an afternoon.
Your research already has the list, and Google's first page is checked for you.
Most of Reddit is noise for your business.
Only keywords your research judged relevant are checked, and the most-read threads come first.
One promotional comment and the account is gone.
Drafts carry no links, say who you are, and name a real alternative where it fits.
Why SEO Buddy
Finding customers on Reddit feels like a second job. It does not have to.
Doing it by hand
- Build a keyword list from scratch
- Google every keyword and scroll for Reddit results
- Guess which threads anybody actually reads
- Read hundreds of threads to find the relevant ones
- Write every reply from a blank box, and hope it is not removed
- Keep a spreadsheet of what you have already answered
With SEO Buddy
- Keywords come from your own research
- Google's first page checked for you, in bulk
- Monthly readers estimated for every thread
- Relevant keywords only, most-read threads first
- A draft written from the thread, in your tone, with no links
- New, Saved, Drafted, Replied: tracked for you
The honest answer
“Why can't it just post the replies for me?”
We get asked this a lot. Here is the answer the tools that do it will not give you.
You want it automated, and that is reasonable. But posting for you is how accounts, and brands, get banned. Reddit looks at who is posting, from where and how. Automated comments get quietly removed, often without the poster ever finding out. A tool that posts for you can be charging for comments nobody can see.
Automate the finding. Keep the posting human.
- SEO Buddy finds the threads Google ranks for your keywords
- It shows which ones are read by the most people
- It drafts a reply from the thread itself, with no links
- You post it from your own account, and it stays up
Tools that replace you stop working the day the platform notices. Tools that help you keep adding up.

The questions everybody asks
Do I need my own Reddit account?
Yes. Replies are posted by you, from your account, so they come with your history and your name on them. We never ask for your Reddit password and we never post anything.
Will replying get my account banned?
Nobody can promise that, and a tool that does is not being straight with you. What we can do is draft replies that give moderators nothing to remove: an answer to the question first, no links, a clear note that you work on the product, and a real alternative named where it is the better fit. Every draft also warns you when a thread looks like the wrong place, and you should always read the subreddit's rules before you post.
Why no links?
Because a link from a new commenter is the fastest way to be removed, and in most subreddits it is against the rules. Your name in plain text in a genuinely useful answer does more: people search for you, and you stay up.
Where do the threads come from?
From Google, not from Reddit's own search. Your keyword research already reads Google's first page for the searches that matter to your business, and every Reddit thread on those pages is collected. You can check hundreds more of your keywords with one click.
How accurate are the reader numbers?
They are estimates, and we show them as a range. Each is the monthly searches for a keyword multiplied by the published click-through rate for the position the thread holds, added up across the keywords it ranks for, with close variants of the same search counted once. Google's own search volumes group some similar searches under one figure, so a few keywords carry a bigger number than they deserve. That is why the keywords and volumes behind every estimate are shown too.
Does it send private messages for me?
No. It drafts one for the person who started the thread and opens the chat for you. You decide whether to send it. Messaging strangers in bulk is how accounts are lost.
Can I reply to old threads?
Often, yes, and an old thread that still ranks is exactly the one worth replying to. Some subreddits archive threads after six months and stop taking comments, so we point out older threads and you can check before you write.
Does it work outside the United States, or in other languages?
Yes. Google is checked in the country and language your keyword research was run in, and replies are written in the language of the thread.
Do I need anything set up first?
No. If your website has no keyword research yet, a short onboarding connects Google Search Console (optional), confirms your competitors (optional) and launches the research for you. About ten minutes later your posts are there, with no keywords to type.
How much does it cost?
Three plans per website: Starter at $19 a month, Growth at $39 and Scale at $79. They differ in how many keywords are checked on Google, how many posts are read and how many replies are drafted each month. Billed monthly per website, cancel any time.
